| #8 tu3031: You have to admit that it would be a heck of a kung-fu movie. Hopefully played straight, not as a comedy, but with an all-black cast. Follow the standard Shaw Brothers formula. The hero's well to do family run a kung-fu school, and a competing school hires ninjas to kill everyone in it, but they miss the hero. His kung-fu is not strong enough, so he has to travel to the back woods to find a legendary master whose style can defeat the ninjas. Then after he is trained, he goes back to fight the ninjas and the other school. Not done as a comedy, but as a kung-fu movie homage, it could have the same surrealism as Takashi Miike's Sukiyaki Western Django, which was a blast. |
