| NATO Helicopter Crashes in Maidan Wardak |

| [Quqnoos] A NATO military helicopter crashed Tuesday in Maidan Wardak province, a local official said The crash happened as two helicopters were landing at a Turkish-led Provincial Reconstruction Team (PRT) in Maidan Wardak province, said Shahidullah Shahid, spokesman for the provincial governor. He said one of the helicopters, which both belonged to NATO member Turkey, crashed into a hillside near the PRT while the other landed safely. "The helicopter crashed in the Women's Garden in Wardak city and at this stage we know nothing about any possible casualties," he said. NATO had no immediate comment over the cause of the crash. |
