| Bomb maims villager in southern Thailand |

| A Buddhist villager lost his left leg and right arm when Muslim insurgents detonated a bomb Monday morning. Suchin Kongsaeng, 47, and six neighbours were walking to a rubber plantation in Borkor village in Tambon Kosit of Takbai district at 8:30 am when the explosion occurred. The blast amputated his leg and arm and the other villagers rushed him to the Narathiwat provincial hospital. |
