The gospel according to Sir Elton: Jesus was gay
2010-02-19
Mebbe. Probably not. But when your only tool is a hammer, every problem looks like a nail. >:-}
JESUS was GAY - according to the gospel of SIR ELTON JOHN.
The singer makes his controversial claim about the Lord in a new US interview that will enrage America's bible belt.

Elton, 62, declares as he pours out his heart to a magazine: "I think Jesus was a compassionate, super-intelligent gay man who understood human problems."

He adds: "Jesus wanted us to be loving and forgiving. I don't know what makes people so cruel. Try being a gay woman in the Middle East - you're as good as dead."
I don't know about women, but if you're a guy and get on the wrong guy's $hi+ list, you probably are.
He goes on in the same interview to describe how he and DAVID FURNISH, 47 - now his "husband" - first got together.

The pop veteran tells Parade magazine: "I was attracted to David immediately. He was very well dressed, very shy. The next night we had dinner.

"After it, we fell in love very quickly."

He said of previous lovers: "I'd always choose someone younger. I wanted to smother them with love. I'd take them around the world, try to educate them.

"One after another they got a Cartier watch, a Versace outfit, maybe a sports car.

"They didn't have jobs. They were reliant on me.
Maybe you should have been the "husband".

"In six months they were bored and hated my guts because I'd taken their lives and self-worth away. I hadn't intended to."
When they broke up, did he get the watch, outfit, and sports car back?

#15  lotp nails it. Someone once said that looking for Jesus is like looking into a mirror - you see yourself and think that's what Jesus was like. Academics have made a cottage industry of the practice.

#14  Elton, that's not what he meant when he said, love thy neighbor as thy love thyself.

#13  I can't get too upset with Elton John. I believe what I believe and he can believe what he believes.

#12  This is getting to be like the "Muslim victim" thing. Ya hear it from gays so often that it doesn't even register any more.

#11  I read him as saying Jesus was a compassionate, super-intelligent gay man just like him.

#10  What does he know about being a gay woman in the..uhmmm, ok.

I once heard an observation, "Ever notice that in a gay relationship, one partner take on the role of the man? One would think that, being a gay relationship, the participants would have a more equal/non-gender approach but those relationships seem doomed to failure. So here you have two people who love each other and must cross outside of the accepted standards of society, then must so openly crutch upon the traditional family structure."

Normally I'd put file this in the geriatric drug-head who other than being fabulous and having catchy music, when observing the lyrics and message really has nothing to say unless it is about himself.

Projection, perhaps, but it could be looked at as a person in twilight finally considering the teachings and impact of Jesus. Unfortunately the cynic in me weighs in and takes measure the attention whore just may need another hit or two of media before fading away in the gutter of fad street with headline snot running down his nose.

#9  True, there are seven kinds sins but 98% will go for one of the five.

Which five, BlackBart? I'm afraid I don't reason out such things the way you do, and I may need that information one day.

#6  The world needs more men like Besoecker. I have found that a modicum of Evil makes a man predictable and more trustworthy. What I really fear are men( and women) who are too moral.( some people are moral because they are stupid and some do it on principle..those are the crazy ones) You dont know when they are going to DO that.

Its simply a matter of finding what KIND of evil they find attractive. Everybody has one of the five kinds of major tastes in Evil. True, there are seven kinds sins but 98% will go for one of the five. All you have to do is watch where they twitch when you run it by them.

Then you ....find out the price for a deal.
remember Sidney Greenstreet? I always liked him.

#4  Sorry, magazine writer: I'm not enraged. The world can't help being the world, so there is no sense getting upset about a homosexual seeing everything through that lens.

#2  My Neighbors, the lesbians next door, asked me what I would like for my birthday. I was quite surprised when they gave me a Rolex. It was very nice of them, but I think they misunderstood me when I said... "I wanna watch."
