| Three Tesla Motors Staffers Killed In Crash |

| Three Tesla Motors staffers were killed today when their twin engine Cessna clipped power lines in thick fog shortly after takeoff from Palo Alto, California and crashed into a residential area. The plane clipped a daycare facility but it was unoccupied by children at the time. Nobody on the ground was hurt. According to the linked article: The crash destroyed the electrical-transmission lines that run to Palo Alto, knocking out electricity to all the city's 28,000 customers, including schools and Stanford Hospital, city officials said. Residents were being asked to conserve water, which is pumped to customers with the help of electricity. The hospital was operating on backup power. |
