| Ahmadinejad unveils electric Samand |

| Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has unveiled the electric version of Iran's national car Samand which is produced by the Middle East's leading automaker, IKCO. With the maximum velocity of 140 kilometers per hour, the electric Samand can travel 200-km before it needs recharging, Fars news agency reported on Wednesday. Through producing the electric Samand, Iran has joined top producers of electric cars in the world. The car was unveiled in the Presidential Office. |

| #5 So we are now well into the 11th and I've seen absolutely NO reporting of what the great Iranian "punch" is. I've seen reports that they've been massing troops of various kinds to crack down on the scheduled demonstrations, cut off internet and cellphone access but nothing further. WTF if anything is going on??? |
