Al-Quds Brigades: Iron Dome can't stop our rockets
2010-01-08
Israel's recent announcement that Iron Dome rocket interception system successfully passed a number of comprehensive tests during the last two days does not appear to have fazed armed Palestinian groups in Gaza.
If they weren't "fazed", would they have reacted at all?
On Thursday, after seven mortars and a Qassam rocket were fired towards Israel's southern region, a spokesperson for the Al-Quds Brigades, said its capabilities were constantly improving. Al-Quds Brigades is the armed wing of Islamic Jihad.

Speaking to Ynet, Abu Ahmed said, "The Israelis have long since spoken of methods to intercept our rockets but haven't succeeded in doing so. We know the Israelis are aware of the fact that our projectiles are manufactured locally, while the Iron Dome system (can intercept) the 'classic' and conventional rockets -- it cannot provide a solution to our rockets."

Abu Ahmed said that even if the Israeli system does prove to be effective against the Palestinian rockets, "We have proven that we are constantly improving and developing the means at our disposal, and I am certain we will be able to circumvent any Israeli attempt to damage our systems."

The Al-Quds spokesman accused the IDF of trying to escalate the situation along the Gaza-Israel border "despite the (armed Palestinian) groups' decision to (halt fire) in order to allow its men ample time to rest and regroup."

"(Israel) wants to drag us into a conflict that will include mass targeted killings in hopes that we will respond with rocket fire that won't cause any damage," he said. "The rockets may not cause a lot of damage, but they create a lot of fear in the Gaza vicinity."

#5  Israel needs to totally flatten about 4 acres in the middle of Gaza City and Kahn Yunis. I think that will get the attention of these idiots like nothing used in the past has ever done. Using napalm and high explosives may be a "war crime" but constantly terrorizing civilians is enough of a crime to cover any Israeli response. If Belgium opens its pie hole, it needs to be filled with a Tomahawk missile. It's time to quit playing kindergarten games and get on with winning the continued war Israel is fighting against Islam for its very existence.

#4  Move the shoot down zone so the debris lands near the launchers.

Float the launchers on balloons.

#3  Wonder if the paleos have weapons development programs that can deal with Israeli counterbattery fire.

#2  Cut any aid and make them give back every penny since 1949. Since they hve so much money they can burn it in missiles, so much time they can train for terrorism instead of working I want my money back.

And force them to pay a 10 million dollars (Regan dolllars) for the psychological damages for the missiles.

There will be peace not the day when Palestinians love their children (who are not at danger since Israel doesn't target them) more than they hate the Jews but the day they have to work hard to put bread on the table.

For those who think these rockets are just an annoyance and not to be considered in any serious negotiations, please pay attention to the foregoing statement. This describes the intent of and the actual result of these missiles, and the intent and its causes must be addressed and annihilated for things to go forward.
