Afghan Governor Wounded in Blast
2010-01-08
[Quqnoos] The acting governor of Khost province and several other officials were wounded by a blast inside the governor's office on Thursday
It was an inside job... one way or another.
The wounds to the officials were not life-threatening and an investigation was launched to find out what had caused the blast, said a spokesman for the Afghan Interior Ministry.

"The acting governor, his chief of staff, the head of education and five other people, including police were wounded in the blast," said head of Khost Public Health Department, Amir Paja Ramatzai.
May they heal well and quickly with minimal pain, and become known as the bane of the jihadis in Khost.
The blast came a week after a suicide bomber killed seven CIA officials and a Jordanian spy at a base in the province.

Al Qaeda's Afghan wing has claimed last week's attack at a US base in Afghanistan in which a double agent turned suicide bomber killed seven CIA officers, saying the attack was revenge for the deaths of their leaders.

There was no immediate report of a claim of responsibility for Today's blast, but Haqqani's Network and Taliban allies have carried out numerous attacks in the past in the province and the provincial capital.
May I request a Predator with Mr. Haqqani's name on it, even if he is the dog of the ISI?
