| The former head of Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) says the United States is afraid of Iran's nuclear capabilities and is trying to provoke other countries to wage a psychological war against Iran. In an exclusive interview with IRNA on Sunday, retired general Asad Durrani said that although Iran has always insisted that its nuclear activities are totally peaceful, the West is trying to give the world the impression that Iran's nuclear program is not peaceful. He stated that the US is threatening to impose more sanctions on Iran, even though other countries have said that the previous sanctions have been ineffective. Iran has done everything it could within a diplomatic framework, but it will not bow to the West's pressure, he added. |
