#1 I can only scan the original article quickly tonight, but my first reading did not find anything about the failure of US job growth over the last ten years and the stagnation (or falling) personal/family income with respect to the real cost of living. Unless that improves, no other measure of economic recovery matters.
I did like the idea of a skills-based immigration policy. First condition of these immigrants would be for them to buy a house in the US for cash & live in it for a period of time, kind of like homesteading. |
