New NorK Currency Plummets Against Chinese Yuan
2010-01-04
North Korea's new currency introduced in late November has plummeted in value compared to the Chinese yuan, a local radio broadcaster claimed Sunday.

The ORNK speculated that the reason for the new currency's weakness may be Pyongyang's decision to not allow foreign currency to circulate in the market.
Seems like the NorKs are finding trouble everywhere they look.

#1  Isn't it funny when people who are ignorant of, yet despise capitalism, try to play at capitalist economics?

I remember how, in the final years of the Soviet Union, they decided they had to create a bank in Switzerland, using a big chunk of their precious and depleted foreign currency reserves, so that a capitalist bank would make them a fortune. Because banks make fortunes, right?

The Swiss raped them. Overnight, the bank was just emptied of money, and the bank president didn't even know how it was done, but every investment they made went belly up. Other banks stripped the meat from their bones, and used the bones as toothpicks.

The bank president was recalled to Moscow, and never heard from again.
