Kabul mayor gets four years in jug |

![]() The court issued a warrant for the arrest of Mir Abdul Ahad Sahebi in absentia on Monday. Sahebi was found guilty of misappropriation of more than $16,000 dollars of public money. The court has ordered the mayor to return the money and removed him from his post. It was the first high-profile corruption conviction for an Afghan official since President Karzai was sworn in for a second five year term. |

#4 this could be like Saudi arrests of terrorists, Paki attacks in FATA, etc. A steady but controlled flow to assuage the US. Gates went with a list, including cabinet ministers, IIUC. |
