| 3 killed, 8 wounded in Karbala blast |

| KARBALA / Aswat al-Iraq: Casualties from the car bomb explosion that ripped through Karbala on Monday evening rose to three dead and eight wounded, director of the health department said. “Three people, including a woman and a policeman, were killed and eight others, including a woman and two children, were wounded in the booby-trapped car blast in north of Karbala,” Alaa Hamoudi told Aswat al-Iraq news agency. A police source had said earlier that three civilians were killed and five were wounded in the explosion. Karbala is 110 km southwest of Baghdad. |
