2 U.S. soldiers killed, 4 wounded in Ninewa |

BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: Two U.S. soldiers were killed and four others were wounded in two separate incidents in Ninewa in northern Iraq, the U.S. army said on Tuesday. “A Multi-National Division - North Soldier was killed and two were wounded when an improvised explosive device detonated near their vehicle in Ninewa province, Iraq, Oct. 19,” the U.S. army said in a statement received by Aswat al-Iraq news agency. “A Multi-National Division - North Soldier was killed and two were injured in a vehicle accident approximately five miles west of Mosul, Iraq, Oct. 18,” it added. The deaths raise to 4,351 the number of U.S. soldiers who have been killed since the U.S.-led invasion in March 2003, including 131 in 2009. |
