Ten civilians wounded in Babel blast |

BABEL / Aswat al-Iraq: Ten civilians on Sunday were injured when a bicycle bomb went off in northern Babel province, according to a local police source. “A bicycle rigged with explosives exploded at the entrance of a market in al-Haswa district (50 km north of Babel), wounding 10 civilians, including some in a critical condition,” the source told Aswat al-Iraq news agency. The bombing caused damage to nearby buildings, the source added. Hilla, the capital city of Babel province, lies 100 km southwest of Baghdad. |
