(Xinhua) -- Pakistani police on Monday arrested the mastermind of life attempt on Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Hamid Saeed Kazmi, local TV channels reported. The accused was identified as Abdul Karim and arrested from Rojhan area of south Punjab along with his accomplices. The police had continued raids to arrest others involved in the case.
The accused is also involved in several cases of different nature and belong to defunct organization, said the reports.
The Pakistani religious minister was injured in a shooting attack on his car outside his office in Islamabad on Sept. 2. A driver of the minister was killed in the attack.
