Mangal on 'outcomes' of possible operation |

[The News (Pak)] Mangal Bagh, head of the banned Lashkar-e-Islam, Friday said any military operation against the peaceful residents of Khyber Agency would be detrimental to the peace of Peshawar and the entire province. "A destabilised Khyber Agency would have a negative impact on the peace of the entire NWFP, especially Peshawar," Mangal Bagh told a press conference in the far-flung Tirah valley in Khyber Agency. He said in Bara the minorities and the government installations, including educational institutions and banks were given protection by the LI. He said there was no justification for the authorities to start military action in an area where there was peace and tranquillity.However, he alleged certain officials of the security forces were supporting the enemies of the LI. |
