| [Maghrebia] Mauritania will deploy 4,000 troops to the Sahara region to fight terrorists, including groups linked to al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb, Nouakchott's ANI reported on Saturday (August 15th). The move follows decisions made by army chiefs of staff from Algeria, Mauritania, Niger and Mali during last week's security summit in Tamanrasset, Algeria. |
