| Iraq, Turkey discuss intelligence-sharing on PKK |

| [Iran Press TV Latest] Turkey's foreign minister discusses economic ties and sharing intelligence on the outlawed PKK party with his Iraqi counterpart in Baghdad. After his talks with the Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari on August 11, Ahmet Davutoglu told reporters that the two countries were considering economic and security agreements that would improve the often-strained ties between the two neighbors. He said that they are also considering an agreement to share intelligence on the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK). The officials said they would meet again in September. The United States, the European Union and Turkey have all labeled the PKK as a terrorist group. Washington is also supplying Turkey with vital intelligence needed to hit PKK bases in northern Iraq. About the cooperation between Turkey, Iraq and the US in the fight against the PKK, Zebari said one of the topics in the negotiations was a trilateral mechanism involving the three states, which discussed countering the PKK. "Terror is a very serious problem. We discussed it in detail with Mr. Davutoglu ... The Iraqi administration and the regional administration in the North will implement all the decisions made to counter terrorism and be loyal to the decisions.
