Taliban on Saturday warned people of North Waziristan against holding public gathering, including jirgas. Pamphlets distributed in Miranshah bazaar by the Taliban in the tribal agency said no tribe was allowed to hold a gathering of more than five people in any area of the agency. The Taliban said any public gathering would be considered a pro-government committee, warning that group leaders would be killed and suicide attacks would be carried out against such groups. They also banned people from entering the FC Fort and government offices in the agency. The pamphlets said the people visiting public offices for any purpose "should be ready to face the consequences". |
