Snakes take control of police station | |
2009-06-12 | |
[Iran Press TV Latest] Police in Sierra Leone have called in fire fighters and the army to take control of a police station invaded by hundreds of hissing serpents. The police station in the town of Gerihun -- infested with an estimated 400 snakes -- has left even some of the toughest officers afraid to go to work. Despite fumigating measures taken by officials in the Ministry of Health, the snakes have not been dislodged and come out in dozens during work hours. The unwelcome guests have prompted residents to shun the police station and avoid reporting crimes. Following the failure in luring out the snakes, sharp-shooters have been invited to the scene.

#3 Sierra Leone. Get a witch doctor/zoologist to make a public announcement that this specific type of snake is not only delicious to eat but is known to be nature's own "male enhancement" pill. Then sit back and let 'nature' take its own course, after making a filing with the endangered species act. |

#1 Sounds like the staion is built in a nesting ground. Burning and relocating is the only way to avoid them again, even if all are removed. |
