#11 As JS5015 said, most of them are farming towns. Not only are there lots of illegals, but lots of former illegals who received amnesty and then started the process of chain immigration of bringing in their families, cousins, their cousins' cousins. Those do get included in unemployment stats and do receive taxpayer assistance. |

#10 Merced, Modesto, Stockton, El Centro, Hanford, Redding, Visalia... those are farming/ranching areas. I wonder how those numbers would look without the impact of illegal immigration. Yeah, and we're paying their unemployment benefits too. If we didn't they might have to go back to Mexico. |

#7 Atlanta was not listed either. CNNMoney must be tabulating drug dealers as....'actively employed.' |

#6 I can't believe that Detroit and Flint aren't on this list. It seems like the unemployment rate in Detroit is at least 20%. |

#5 The governor of Oklahoma was just saying the other day that their unemployment rate is around 5%. Hmmmmmm. |

#4 Don't compare these statistics with those of the Great Depression. Modern stats eliminate some unemployed that would have been counted in the GD stats. |

#3 Hell, Yuma has probably had a 20% unemployment rate since the 19th Century. Though they are not counted in the stats, by far the two biggest employers are Marines, who have a base there, and the Border Patrol. |

#2 I suspect that if unemployment climbs high enough and the economy stagnates, the bureaucrats will 'factor' out the illegals [though not end the support programs] for adjusted reporting purposes. |
