Altaf demands govt scrap Swat deal |

Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain has demanded the government scrap the Swat peace agreement, a private TV channel reported on Sunday. According to the channel, the demand was made during a meeting between the MQM chief and President Asif Ali Zardari in London. They discussed Pakistan's political situation particularly the situation prevailing in Karachi. The two leaders also exchanged views on the war on terror and the economic situation of the country and agreed to make joint efforts to deal with the challenges. Zardari also briefed the MQM chief about his recent tour of Libya. President Zardari had arrived in London on Saturday from Libya, APP reported. |
