Holder Foreshadowing Terrorist Interrogation Witch Hunts
2009-04-27
The Obama administration says it won't look backward in the debate over harsh interrogations. On Attorney General Eric Holder's first stop in Europe this week, he looked back centuries, visiting a historic torture site.

The attorney general and his staff took a tour of the Tower of London, home of The Bloody Tower, and also the site where Guy Fawkes was put on the rack in 1605 to name those plotting with him to blow up Parliament.

The tower visit is standard fare for tourists, but one loaded with extra meaning for Holder, who listened quietly to tales of torture, execution, and palace intrigue.

The attorney general must decide whether Bush administration officials should be prosecuted for authorizing and approving harsh interrogation techniques against terror suspects. Critics call the methods torture.

#2  He should travel to Antwerp (50 minutes via VLM from City Airport). There he can visit the Torture Museum, near the Opera, where as you walk in is a facsimile of the Statue of Liberty blindfolded proclaim the United States the most guilty of all countries regarding torture. No mention of Iran, Iraq, Pakistan, Egypt, Syria, Turkey, et.al. Oooh, don't go there if you are an European watching your life being fitted for a burqa!

#1  Gathering ideas for a United States Holocaust Slavery and Torture Memorial Museum on the Mall no doubt. Historical accomplishment, social achievement and democracy be damned! Have we learned nothing from Islam? We simply must keep old memories, hatreds, and bitterness alive. Otherwise guilt and social entitlement will wane and there will be no kindling for wars and conflicts of the future!
