NEW DELHI: Four unidentified men were beaten to death by public on Sunday night, while attempting to break into a house in Loni, Ghaziabad. Six persons, loaded with steel rods, a 9mm pistol and some live cartridges, broke into the house of Rakesh Bhardwaj at C-38/2, Balram Nagar at around 7pm on Sunday. The family was away at that time. RakeshÂ’s brother Ramesh Bhardwaj, a principal at a local government school, who lives nearby, found the six men inside the house as he peeped through the window. On spotting them, he raised a cry. A crowd assembled there in no time. While two managed to escape from the spot, the four others started firing at the crowd. Soon, the crowd surrounded them and beat them to death. Speaking to TOI, the police said two-three persons from the crowd were also injured in the incident. |
