(AKI) - A suicide bomber killed at least five police officers and injured 13 others on Monday at a checkpoint outside the Iraqi capital, Baghdad.The blast took place at the checkpoint in the Khan Dhari area, located west of the city.In a separate incident, a female suicide bomber is reported to have knocked on the door of Ahmed Khamees, a prominent local commander of a volunteer Sunni militia and blew herself up, killing him. The attack took place in the area of Tamiya, north of Baghdad.
Also on Monday in the district of Sinjar, near Mosul, unidentified gunmen stormed the house of a family of the minority Yazidi sect and killed seven people.
