Russia seems to have been able to withstand the global meltdown, but growth in 2009 is to be only 3 percent, suggesting indications of recession. |

#5 Of course, Russian economy is in recession. But then they had a head start, courtesy of the Soviet Union. Caught between Putin's Back to the Future Movement and the Russian mobsters, the Russians are still only a few notches up the food chain from Zimbabwe. |

#4 3% is good for us, but you have to look at the trendline. That's piss-poor for them in the last 10 years. Gonna seem like a bad recession. |
