110 unknown corpses on Saturday were buried in Baaquba, said a source from Diala province's police. "The corpses were found throughout Diala province," the source told Aswat al-Iraq. |

#2 God help me, but I've been reading this stuff so long the paragraph actually made sense to me. The locals found the bodies of 110 stiffs, nobody identified them, and they were reburied (or buried for the first time) in Baaquba. From what I understand, the local police hold bodies for several months before they're buried, hoping that someone would identify them. Cheaper than digging them back up. Against the Koran, which says a body should be buried within 24 hours, but what's a body to do? |

#1 Adorable non-native English, but confusing: were 110 people buried on Saturday, or were 110 corpses found on Saturday that had been previously buried? And why Saturday, if the corpses were scattered about the province? |
