| #8 Conscripts! The Indian Army has never had conscription. During WW2 - when it was 2.5 million strong, it became the largest all-volunteer force in history. |

| #4 More and more I like the idea of India deploying a division or two to Afghanistan, to seal the border with Pakistan. Not only would it put the blocks to the terrorists who cross the border, but it would force the Pak army to occupy the troublesome enclaves. The Pak seething would be amazing. No need for India to attack directly. |

| #2 I don't see how Pakistan could possibly have the resources at this point to wage any kind of prolonged defense. They can barely keep the lights on. |
