Cyclists stop in Utica promoting climate change |
2008-10-23 |
UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - Student volunteers from colleges around New York State braved freezing cold temperatures on their bikes Wednesday to send a message to state and federal political candidates: pay attention to climate change. It wuz warm last week an' now it's cold! Why does the climate have to change every Fall? The New York Public Interest Research Group helped organize the ride. Environmentalists cheered on the bikers as they stopped in Utica around noon. They want candidates to let voters know what they plan to do about global warming and the energy crisis. Can't we have a strongly worded letter or sumpin? NYPIRG buncha Prigs is right! and several other public interest groups also sent letters to the candidates, urging them to support policies that will dramatically reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Stop building Greenhouses NOW! What? Not that kind of greenhouse gas? Ya want us to stop breathin er sumpin? Buncha Bugwits! |

#3 Somehow I think the climate will continue to change whether these students 'promote' it or not. |

#2 Climate always changes. So what. Next they'll complain night is dark and day is bright. Move their asses above the Arctic Circle if they raise that one, so they can experience the alternative. |
