(PTI) Pakistani security officials today arrested a suspected suicide bomber who was trying to board a plane at the international airport in Rawalpindi in the guise of a woman. The alleged bomber, who was clad in a burqa, was apprehended at the airport's departure lounge. A woman security official detected the bomber during a search and informed police personnel.Police took the man into custody and were trying to ascertain his identity. Officials told the state-run APP news agency that the man was carrying a bag.
The alleged bomber was arrested hours after a suicide attacker struck at the office of the Anti-Terrorism Squad in the high-security Police Lines on the outskirts of Islamabad. Ten policemen were injured in that attack.
