| Israel: Government to create new 'anti-Jihad' authority |

| (AKI) - The Israeli government has decided to set up a new authority to tackle the threat to national security posed by Islamist terror groups, Israel Radio reports. The authority will be headed by the Israeli Defence Ministry's anti-terrorism chief. Its members will include the chiefs of Israel's Mossad intelligence agency and its domestic spy service Shin Bet, as well as its security forces. The authority's purpose is to provide assistance and coordination between the various agencies. It will meet when required and at least twice a month. |
