#14 I was for enlisting before I was against it. Crikey, you would think the Dems have figured out this meme don't fly. |

#13 But keep in mind that I graduated in 1979. The Vietnam War had come to an end. We weren't engaged in an active military conflict at that point. And so, it's not an option that I ever decided to pursue Well, he said he left community organizing because he wanted to make money and raise a family. By 1979, Carter and the Donks had so gutted the military, they were leaving in large numbers just to do that. The mess on Desert One showed what with the best we had by then what we could do and it wasn't much. It would take Ronnie and lot of your fine taxpayers money to get the house back into order, along with some truly dedicated leaders and families who hung on long enough to make things right in the ranks. |

And so, it's not an option that I ever decided to pursue So...if we had been engaged in a military conflict he would have gone? He wants us to believe that he was really gung-ho on taking part in a shooting war and when he found out that there wasn't any opportunity to fire a gun at our enemies he lost interest? Riiiiiiiiight! |

#10 Welcome to Liberal Bizzaro World, where good intentions about signing up for military service are the moral equivalent of actually being in the military and serving. |

#7 He wanted to serve, but by then the Khmer Rouge weren't hiring. Ouch! That's gonna leave a mark! Don't forget all the good spots with Castro were already taken at the time too.... |

#6 I was going to join the Army, but then I got high, then I got high, then I got high. I never served my country, because I got high, because I got high, because I got high. |

#5 And I actually always thought of the military as an ennobling and, you know, honorable option. Thank you Enos, we're delighted you selected the Space Program instead. |

#2 He wanted to serve, but then he lit up some pakalolo and had a vision. Somewhere, there was a community that desperately needed an organizer..... |
