(VOI) - Police forces on Wednesday arrested a gunman while attempting to plant a bomb in south of Kirkuk, the chief of local police said. "Acting on intelligence tip, which indicated the presence of two persons attempting to plan a bomb between al-Mahmoudiya village and Mahalet Domez in south of Kirkuk, police forces arrested on of them, while the other managed to escape," Brig. Sarhad Qader told Aswat al-Iraq - Voices of Iraq (VOI). "The forces waged a crackdown operation in the region, where they seized a large amount of weapons and ammunitions and an amount of TNT," hje added. "They also arrested six suspected gunmen during the raid," he also said.
