| Militants fired rockets and bullets at Khyber Agency's Jamrud tehsil late on Friday, sources told Daily Times on Saturday. No casualities were reported during the one-hour attack, which started at 2am. The rockets landed near Jamrud Bazaar. No one has claimed responsibility for the attack so far. The attack came as the military operation in Khyber Agency remained suspended on Saturday. The government had ordered the offensive in the agency following challenges to Peshawar security from Lashkar-e-Islam. Khyber Agency Chief Administrator said on Friday the operation would resume if Mangal Bagh did not accept government demands. |
