| The Taliban on Saturday freed two journalists who were kidnapped from Mohmand Agency, near the Afghan border, last week. "The two journalists have been released after their credentials of journalism were proven," Taliban spokesman Dr Asad told reporters. The militants also freed local facilitator of the two journalists. The Taliban had kidnapped Islamabad-based freelance journalist Pir Zubair Shah and Karachi-based photojournalist Akhtar Soomro on Thursday. |
