2008-07-02 |
![]() Environmental groups have long demanded justice in the case of activists Heraldo Zuniga and Roger Ivan Murillo Cartagena. The two were fatally shot on December 20, 2006, in Olancho province, where they led opposition to widespread logging. A provincial tribunal declared the four officers guilty of having shot the two activists to death. |

#3 what were they guilty of? exceeding the daily bag limit? perhaps they were accessories in that they failed to shut off the chain saw: as in " Be Stihl, my no-more- beating heart." |

#2 If you oppose logging you should create a group dedicated to buying up land and ensuring it is not logged. Go to the UN and try to get them to give some kind of ribbons cash and prizes, for nations that put aside vast tracts of land for environmental reasons. The system is Capitalism, don't fight it, use it. |
