Woman jumps out of car on I-10 during argumentAn argument on I-10 between a Tallahassee woman and a Fort Lauderdale man led to the woman being seriously injured Tuesday afternoon when she jumped out of the car when the driver refused to stop on the interstate, the Florida Highway Patrol reported.
' I jumped out of his car. It was my fault,” Marquita Cherrell Armstrong, was quoted by troopers as saying at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital.
Armstrong, 24, was a passenger in a car driven by Jeffery Dawayne Watson, 27, of Fort Lauderdale, when the two begin to argue Tuesday afternoon, according to the FHP. When Watson missed the Monroe Street exit, Armstrong told him to stop the car and let her out, but he refused to stop in the construction zone. He told her that he would continue to Thomasville Road and let her out there.
Armstrong then opened the door as Watson slowed down and then she jumped out, striking the pavement. Watson and another motorists stopped to treat her and called 911.
