#2 It's hard to figure out what is really going on in Pakistan. For a group that has made so much supposed "progress", they seem to be taking a lot of casualties. And while there were a lot of "peace deals" signed, there has been a lot of fighting, too. And they lost practically all of their seats in the legislature. And there are now US special operations forces working in Pakistan with Pakistani forces. I don't believe much of what I read concerning Pakistan. Fog of war. |

#1 This year, the government signed peace deals in Swat, Bajaur, Malakand, and Mohmand. Negotiations are under way in Kohat and Mardan. The Taliban have violated the terms of these agreements in every region where accords have been inked. Aw, c'mon. Just give em one more chance... |
