2008-06-21
(VOI)- MP from the Sadrist bloc Ahmed al-Massoudi said on Friday that the Bashaer al-Salam security operation in Missan tuned from a military operation into a political process against the Sadrists, calling to free the Missan deputy governor and the provincial council’s two members who were arrested by Iraqi security forces. “The Sadrist bloc supported the operation but it turned from a military operation against gunmen into a political process targeting Sadrists,” al-Massoudi told Aswat al-Iraq – Voices of Iraq (VOI).
