One Hamas fighter has been killed and another wounded in an Israeli air strike in the northern Gaza Strip, Palestinian officials say. According to Moaiya Hassanain of the Gaza Health Ministry, the attack occurred early Tuesday and left the 23-year-old Hisham Abu Shomar dead and the other man in serious health condition.
Palestinian security sources said an Israeli drone fired at least one missile towards a car near residential houses in northern Gaza Strip.
The Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, said in a statement that Shomar belonged to its ranks.
