| Rival tribes agree to ceasefire in Kurram Agency |

| This just in from our ace reporter, D.J. Wu... Rival tribes responsible for clashes in the Kurram Agency declared that they would observe a ceasefire by 5pm on Sunday. They only do this once a month, so pay attention... Elders of the Tori and Mengal tribes made the statement after meeting Kohat Regional Co-ordination Officer Umar Khan Afridi, who met them on the orders of Interior Adviser Rehman Malik. PPP Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari had directed Malik to take steps to restore peace. Separately, two more people were killed and 10 injured in the ninth consecutive day of clashes in the agency. |
