A Jewish woman in Melbourne received a death threat on Facebook from a man claiming to be a Hezbollah member. Australian counter-terror experts launched an investigation following the threat by a man called Ibrahim Dirani, according to a report Saturday in The Australian newspaper.
“I am Hezbollah and I am going to kill you and all of your family -- promise you.” | According to police documents, the member of a Lebanese-based Facebook group allegedly wrote after the Israeli woman rejected his offer of an online friendship, “I am Hezbollah and I am going to kill you and all of your family -- promise you.”
The man is now believed to have been banned by the online social networking Web site. Experts say terrorists trawl through Facebook because it offers in-depth profiles of more than 60 million users. A Facebook group was established last month to memorialize the Palestinian who killed eight yeshiva students in Jerusalem. |
