A suicide car bomb in the town of Ghazni in eastern Afghanistan killed a young child and an Afghan soldier and wounded several people, police said. The bomb exploded just metres (yards) from the entrance of an Afghan National Army base in the town as an army vehicle passed, deputy police chief Mohammad Zaman said. A child aged under 10 was killed as well as a soldier, he said. Three other soldiers were badly hurt and two civilians were also wounded. |
