Suicide attackers have entered Faisalabad and security has been placed on high alert in the city. Intelligence agencies informed Faisalabad DIG Operations Aslam Tareen that suicide attackers had entered the city and could target government installations and security forces. Aslam told Daily Times that after receiving intelligence, he then summoned a special meeting to review security matters after which security was beefed up in the entire city. Commandos in plain clothes have been deployed at the airport, public places, main markets and railway stations. police posts have been set up at exit and entry points into the city. In view of Muharram, security has been beefed up at mosques and imambargahs. The army has also arrived in the city.
