| Unknown assailants on Sunday fired rockets at a police checkpost several kilometres away from Mardan, resulting in serious damage to its main gate and boundary wall. According to details, rockets were fired at the check post during the early hours of Sunday morning, however no loss of life was reported. Police retaliated by opening fire, but the culprits managed to escape. Separately, unknown assailants on Sunday blew up Mian Kunda Khuzdar post in Mohmand AgencyÂ’s Halamzai Tehsil with explosives, damaging rooms of its barracks. However, no loss of life was reported. The political administration has confirmed the incident and lodged a case against the assailants, adding that investigations would be carried out. |
