No billions for Paris Hilton - Grandpa to give away fortune to charity |
2007-12-31 |
Paris Hilton's grandfather and hotel magnate Barron Hilton has announced he will leave 97 per cent of his fortune to charity, which amounts to $2.3 billion. The Hilton hotel chain consists of more than 500 hotels around the world. Family patriarch Barron Hilton is believed to be embarrassed and upset by his granddaughter's wild behaviour - notably when a compromising video of Paris Hilton was leaked on the Internet and by her 23-day prison sentence last month. The money will go to the Conrad N Hilton Foundation, the charity set up in the name of the founder of the family business. |

#1 I read somewhere that much of the Foundation's money goes to the support of Catholic nuns. Hear that, Paris? Get thee to a nunnery! |
