| North Korea supplying weapons to Hezbollah in Lebanon |

| The United States believes North Korea has become a major supplier to the Iranian-sponsored Hezbollah group. The U.S. Congress raised the prospect that North Korea was providing weapons, technical assistance and military training to Hezbollah. The Congressional Research Service cited reputable sources that Pyongyang equipped Hezbollah with missiles and rockets used during the war against Israel in 2006. CRS, which provides independent analysis to Congress, discussed the purported North Korean aid to Hezbollah amid plans by the Bush administration to remove Pyongyang from the State Department list of terrorist sponsors. The report, first obtained by the Reuters news agency, cast doubts on claims that North Korea has ended support for groups deemed terrorists. |

| #5 true, Darrell, but Hezbollah is not a state, but a militia in Lebanon, a sovereign state, and which answers to their masters in other sovereign states - Iran and Syria. As such, it could be said that NK is arming a rebel army and such shipments are subject to interruptions and sanctions. Shoot the f*ckers down, sink their ships, and they'll learn. |

| #4 Lots of room to be two-faced about this. U.S. companies supply arms to the world. Are we going to tell North Korea that we don't support a free market? If so, are we going to put the same pressure on Russia and China? I think what needs to be happening is that Israel needs to publicly inform North Korea and Iran that Israel is in a state of war with Hezbollah and will sink any vessels carrying arms to Iran or Hezbollah. Then they need to sink one to show they're serious. Or they need to whack Iran and let North Korea read between the lines. |
