| 2 Arab Israelis held on terror charges |

| Two Israeli Arabs have been arrested for allegedly planning al-Qaida inspired terror attacks against Israeli targets, the Shin Bet released for publication on Thursday. The two, from the city of Jaljulya in northern Israel, were arrested in a joint Shin Bet-Israel Police operation. Akhrama Jurin, a 21-year-old economics student, and a 17-year-old minor were arrested a month-and-a-half ago and confessed to having planned a number of global jihad-inspired attacks against Israel. Jurin told interrogators that he was influenced by al-Qaida philosophy and used to spend hours surfing global jihad Web sites and listening to speeches of radical Islamic preachers. Jurin showed the minor arrested with him videotapes of the radical speeches and convinced him to assist in planning attacks against IDF soldiers. In an effort to obtain a weapon, the two drove to the Kassem junction with plans to kidnap a soldier, stab him and steal his weapon. They ditched their plan after soldiers did not appear at the junction's hitchhiking post. Jurin also used the internet to learn how to produce an explosive device and conducted several chemical experiments together with the minor. The two eventually succeeded in manufacturing two homemade bombs. Security officials warned of the use of the internet as a means for global jihad ideas to infiltrate the homes of Israeli Arabs. |

| #11 Aw, c'mon, lotp. Let 'im post. It's highly entertaining. And, mark...sigh...study some history, OK? Fact is, the Jews lived in what you call Palestine thousands of years before any Arabs ever did. Then the Romans dispersed them for being rebellious to the old Roman Empire. Ever hear of that? They were scattered all over Europe, Africa and Asia through no fault of their own except for fighting against their Roman occupiers. They were fighting occupiers, get it? They would have been better off if they hadn't just like your occupied Palestinians. But they did it anyway. Hmmmm. Maybe the Palestinians could learn from that but I doubt it. Anyway, the Jews tried to live in Europe but that didn't work out so well. It seems there were quite a few Europeans who treated them rather shabbily to put it mildly. So after World War II they returned to what they call Israel and you call Palestine. Man, they gotta live somewhere. Don't you understand? Can't we all just get along? And as some of the others have pointed out, millions of them to live here in the USA. We kinda like 'em. You could learn to like them too if you'd give 'em half a chance. They could teach you all kinds of cool things about business, agriculture and industry. You know, the kinda stuff that helps people live well instead of just herding goats and living in mud huts. |

| #7 Mark can't seem to see that the Jews need a place to live, too, unless he/she believes them to be less human than the Arabs - ya know, like pigs and dogs, and even they have a place to live. And Mark - or whoever you are - a great many Jews do live in North American. My Project Manager at the moment is of the Jewish faith, walks on two legs, and speaks English and Hebrew. |
