#10 "They Were Expendable" - one of my favorite movies. She was beautiful in that movie too. |

#9 She also played a navy nurse in one of the great war movies, John Ford's They Were Expendable, with Robert Montgomery and John Wayne. Bonus factoid: that movie was written by Frank Wead, former navy pilot who broke his neck in a fall, and then became a screenwriter. John Wayne played Wead in a later movie, The Wings of Eagles. |

#8 Well, If she played a prostitute, it had to be better than the one about ten years ago with that goofy lookin redhead. |

#7 Yes she was in "Its a Wonderful Life" and, in that film she is absolutely beautiful (more womanly figure more flattering attire). |

#5 Well, she won an Oscar in 1953 for playing a prostitute in "From Here to Eternity". Does that make you feel better? |

#3 I dunno. I can't get the image of her as the mom on the old TV show outta my head. She was nice enough but not what I think of as the Defender-Scimitar and Times-Picayune cheesecake. I guess that's one of the hazards of Hollywood typecasting. |
